R. 6 Resolution in Support of Transportation Mitigation Strategies
Whereas, the Cornell University Community and the global environment will benefit from accomplishing transportation of its members with less fuel and land dedicated to the operation and daily storage of motor vehicles,
Be it therefore resolved by the Cornell University Assembly that:
1) The University Assembly supports the objective, principles, and general strategies summarized in the below summary of the Transportation Impact Mitigation Strategy presented to us by the Cornell Transportation and Mail Services Department.
2) The University Assembly, with advice from the Transportation Advisory Committee, will continue to be responsible for deciding which specific proposed elements, projects, policies and activities will be implemented.
3) The University Assembly will combine the viewpoints and judgment of the faculty, staff, undergraduate students and graduate and professional students at Cornell with the guidance provided by the TIMS summary in weighing the merits of proposed improvements in transportation during the next ten years.
