Increasing/Revitalizing Interest in Program Houses

  • Problems:
    • Program houses already hold open events, but no one goes to them
    • Distance is an issue
  • Possible Solutions:
    • Promote program houses in the Fall since leases for Collegetown housing must be signed early in the school year
    • Hold events/tours during Cornell Days
      • Have Red Carpet Society coordinate with program houses to have activities
  • Housing/Program Housing Festival
    • Club fest style
    • Food, music, fun, etc.
    • Cultural festival
    • Strategically set up event so that traditional and program housing tables/booths are mixed together
    • Have a weekly spot in the Sun to promote upcoming activities in program houses
    • Place quarter cards on dining hall tables (in the plastic frames) to display upcoming events
    • Special Projects may be able to help
    • Establish deadlines/timeline for the University to renovate
      • Sense of the body resolution
    • Update Program House website
      • If Campuslife reluctant, encourage individual houses to update
