From the Cornell Assemblies

SA: Letter to President RE: Resolution 24

Thank you for your feedback, President Skorton. I can see what you mean by the contradiction between those two sentences and I’m surprised that it slipped by all of us in the SA when we passed it.

The main intent of the last sentence was to close any loophole that may exist if someone exceeds the current attendance totals, for example, if someone has a 7th absence after their vacancy was averted for their 6th. I will revisit the language so that we can pass it again in the Spring. Hopefully we can rephrase it to be clear and resilient for future assemblies.

Enjoy your holidays. Best!
