SA: President Response RE: Resolutions 77 and 85

Dear Ulysses,

Thank you for sharing the Student Assembly resolution on the Student Activity Fee (SAF) Endowment Fund with me. I have a couple of questions and requests, and will therefore be returning Resolution 77 to you for reconsideration.

First, it is not entirely clear to me what the future of the SAF Endowment Fund will be after the implementation of the Student Assembly Infrastructure Fund. Please clarify; will the SAF Endowment continue, and only a set amount will be spent each year? If so, how is that amount determined?

Secondly, I believe there are a few extra words in the first sentence under Section VI that should be removed (�an application must be for a project or initiative must).

Lastly, in Section IX.B.1.C, I believe that items a — c are independent from one another. To make this more clear, I suggest they be separated with “or”.

Although I do not have any issues with the changes made to Appendix B of the charter, I cannot approve these until Resolution 84 is submitted. I understand that Lisa Yager has already been in communication with you regarding this.
