SA: President Response RE: Resolutions 67 and 69

Dear Ulysses,

Thank you for sharing Resolutions 67, Qualifications for College Specific Representatives, and 69, Transitioning to an Opt-Out Emergency Mass Notification System.

I think it is wise of the Student Assembly to make these qualifications for college representatives on the assembly. In writing this resolution, however, I noticed that the college representatives are held to a higher membership qualification than other SA members in that they must be full-time students. I accept this resolution if that is what the SA intended, but if not, I recommend removing “full-time” from the Charter amendment.

I appreciate your resolution and research regarding the opt-out emergency mass notification system. I will take this as a recommendation and forward, by copy of this e-mail, the SA’s support for this change to the appropriate parties.
