SA: November 18, 2013 Letter To President Re. R. 17

Dear President Skorton,

I would like to formally communicate to you SA Resolution 17: Adding Student Trustees as Ex-officio Members. The resolution was sponsored by EVP Sarah Balik and Student-Elected Trustee Ross Gitlin.

The resolution proposes a change to the bylaws of the SA to formally allow the student trustees to serve as ex-officio members. This grants them debating privileges and the ability to make motions, but does not give them voting privileges. The resolution is a re-passing of SA Resolution 53 that was passed last year, but never communicated.

The resolution is attached for your reference.
