SA: September 10, 2013 Letter to President Re: R. 1 and R. 2

Dear President Skorton,

I would like to formally communicate the SA’s first two resolutions of the year. These resolutions are our new Standing Rules and operating budget, respectively.

The Standing Rules have been reorganized and edited significantly. We added an ethics clause, new outreach requirements for representatives, and adjusted some items for our VP of PR.

The budget that was approved now reflects our new committee structure. We have cut the number of committees that we have and consolidated others. Our larger committees will now receive more funding in the hopes that they will undertake significant projects throughout the year. We will also be reducing our rollover and asking for less from the Student Activity Fee in the future.
