SA: Resolution 35: Increasing Member Accountability Through a Revised Initiative Tracker

Sponsored by: John Mueller ‘13, Melissa Lukasiewicz ‘14

Whereas, the Standing Rules of the Student Assembly state that attendance and participation are imperative for efficiency within the Assembly;

Whereas, the Standing Rules of the Student Assembly also state that members of the Student Assembly shall “seek out and voice effectively the interests and concerns of the student body;”

Whereas, no formal structure of accountability currently exists to track members’ participation in initiatives which “seek out and voice the interests and concerns of the student body;”

Whereas, the regular use of an initiative tracker by all members of the Student Assembly would facilitate greater communication among members;

Whereas, an initiative tracker would allow the Executive Board to easily follow up on areas of improvement for individual representatives and their initiatives;

Be it therefore resolved, that the following be added to Section I of the Standing Rules of the Student Assembly:

Respectfully Submitted,

John Mueller ‘13
Executive Vice President of the Student Assembly

Melissa Lukasiewicz ‘14
Vice President of Internal Operations
