SA: Resolution 21: Adoption of a Diversity Plan

Whereas, the Student Assembly created the new Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion to oversee the diversity initiatives of the SA;

Whereas, the University Diversity Council has mandated that each unit of the University choose a selection of initiatives based on Toward New Destinations;

Whereas, the SA has opted to choose a set of initiatives and lead the charge for student organizations creating diversity plans;

Be it therefore resolved, that the SA adopt the attached diversity plan and work to see it through to completion by the end of the 2012–2013 academic year;

Be it further resolved, that this plan be shared with the University Diversity Council and included in the summary of diversity initiatives;

Be it finally resolved’, that this plan be shared with the UA, GPSA, EA, and Faculty Senate in hopes to encourage the creation of their own initiatives.
