Whereas, The current Student Assembly Governing Documents do not state how reports that require action to be taken are adopted.
Be it therefore resolved, that the Student Assembly move to amend the Standing Rules by adding the following to Section II: Policies and Procedures:
“Rule 12 Reports which conclude with a resolution or action to be taken by the Student Assembly shall be adopted with a majority vote. If there is an objection to the adoption of said report, a two-thirds vote is required for it to be overturned. If a report does not reach a majority vote, and is not overturned, it shall be accepted and can be moved for adoption at the next meeting.”
