SA: Resolution 61

Whereas, the Student Assembly passed Resolution 81 (Charter Revisions) on 5/5/2010; and

Whereas, David Skorton, President of Cornell University, requested reconsideration of Resolution 81 on 8/24/2010; and

Whereas, Resolution 81 contained a provision on the Special Rules of Order; and

Whereas, President Skorton’s request for reconsideration of Resolution 81 did not change the status of the Special Rules of Order as presented in the resolution; and

Whereas, the Student Assembly Executive Board currently implements the Special Rules of Order as duly passed on 5/5/2010; and

Whereas, the Office of Assemblies requests that the Student Assembly re-pass the Special Rules of Order before placing the document on the Office of Assemblies website; and

Whereas, public notice of the Special Rules of Order increases the level of transparency for Student Assembly actions;

Be it therefore resolved, that the Student Assembly re-pass the attached Special Rules of Order for the purpose of posting the document to the Office of Assemblies website.
