Thank you for forwarding Resolution 40, Recommendations to Faculty Regarding Mental Health and Well Being of Students. I applaud the Student Assembly for keeping the issue of student wellbeing in the forefront of your deliberations this year.

I note that you have forwarded this resolution directly to Dean Fry and several of his colleagues and am aware that the Faculty Senate is discussing many of the issues you have raised. Whether they reach the same conclusions as the Student Assembly will be their own determination. I am pleased, however, that Provost Fuchs (with whom I am also sharing a copy of the resolution), Dean Fry and Vice President Murphy are continuing their work on examining the student experience broadly.

Thank you for your leadership of the Assembly this year and also for your active participation on this important, campus-wide initiative.
