From the Cornell Assemblies
Whereas, Students pay equal amounts of money for housing regardless of the dorm they live in and;
Whereas, pricing housing based on perceived quality of the dorm would go against our sense of community and;
Whereas, clear disparities exist amongst the different dorms
Therefore be it resolved, that the Hall Councils for the High Rises, Low Rises, and Town Houses have their budgets increased in order to promote a greater sense of community amongst their members;
Be it Further Resolved that after the passage of this resolution, the Residential and Community Life Committee work with the administration to determine a reasonable increase that would be both affordable and effective in promoting student life in these dorms.
