Whereas, the Student Activities Forum has been inactive for at least the past three years,

Whereas, Bylaw 7.5.a.3 currently states:

Student Activities Forum - This group will serve as a vehicle for student groups to communicate with each other, express concerns to and advise the Office of the Dean of Students on issues relevant to SA and Office of the Dean of Students groups. The functions of the Student Activities Forum shall be to:

Be it therefore resolved, Bylaw 7.5.a.3 on the Student Assembly Charter shall now read:

Student Innovation Council: this group will serve as a mechanism for students, student groups, and the SA to generate new ideas for the betterment of student life, implement said ideas when feasible, as well as evaluate issues concerning the Office of Dean of Students groups, the Student Assembly, and the broader Cornell Community.

1. Act as a medium for generating and collecting ideas from Cornell students, faculty, organizations, and the Student Assembly
2. Evaluate and present feasible ideas
3. Act as a consulting group to the Dean of Students regarding issues affecting registered student groups and matters beyond the SA.
4. Advance the mission of the Office of the Dean of Students.
5. Function in accord with SA policies and provide information to the SA as requested
6. Membership to the Student Innovation Council is limited to full-time registered undergraduate students of Cornell University
Be it finally resolved, that the following clause be added to Bylaw 4.2.c.1:

Nominate the chair of the Student Innovation Council to be affirmed by a majority of SA voting members.
