SA: R. 28: Resolution Regarding Executive Committee Mentoring Duties

As introduced Thursday, 22 February 2007.

Whereas, new student representatives have a difficult time acclimating to the rules and procedures of the Student Assembly;

Whereas, the Executive Committee would provide good guidance and serve as a positive influence for new student representatives;

Whereas, Bylaw 4.2.a.2 reads,

“The Executive Committee shall be composed of the President and Executive Vice President and three Vice Presidents”;

Whereas, Bylaw 4.2.a.3 reads,

“The Executive Committee shall serve a one-year term”;

Be it therefore resolved that the Student Assembly will create and enforce Bylaw 4.2.b.4, to read as follows:

“The Executive Committee shall meet with each freshman representative for at least one hour per month during the span of their term.”
