SA: R. 2: Resolution Recognizing the Orientation Steering Committee (OSC) for a Successful Freshmen Orientation Week

Introduced Thursday, 31 August 2006.

Whereas, the Student Assembly reserves the right to make Sense-of-the-Body Resolutions in Student Assembly Charter Bylaw 1.3.a.4;

Whereas, the Student Assembly remains an active funding source for the Orientation Steering Committee through the Student Activity Fee;

Whereas, the Orientation Steering Committee received greater attendance at orientation events from the Class of 2010 and higher participation by undergraduates as Orientation Leaders than in any recent class;

Whereas, the Orientation Steering Committee continues to provide safe and organized orientation events for the benefit of each Freshmen class;

Be it therefore resolved that the Student Assembly applauds the Orientation Steering Committee for another successful year providing their valuable orientation services to the Cornell community;

Be it finally resolved that the Student Assembly looks forward to close collaboration with the Orientation Steering Committee to enable further effective programming.
