Cornell Assemblies

This page is for members of campus assemblies and their committees to arrange payment of expenses related to the business of those groups. It is not for registered student organizations using SAFC/GPSAFC funds.

Forms

For all expenses, you will need to specify the budget category subaccount to which the expense is applied. Please see subaccount information below for a listing of categories. Consult with the financial officer of your assembly for assistance if you are unsure which category to specify.

Campus Assemblies Reimbursement Request Form

Use this form to obtain reimbursement for expenses already incurred by and individual or a Cornell department.

• Please note: Cornell will generally not reimburse sales tax paid out of pocket unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Campus Assemblies Direct Payment Form

Use this form to obtain advance authorization for payment of an expense directly by the university. The office must be invoiced directly or a member of the staff must be present when payment is rendered in order to use this option.

Budget Categories and Subaccounts

A chart of subaccounts has been set up for each assembly which corresponds to the budget categories established for that assembly. Each expense must be assigned to an appropriate category and be germane to that category. The categories are as follows.
