GPSA Communications Committee

Mario went though GPSA info issues such as the coming up with a schedule for members of the committee to take turns in the creation GPSA info. and sending out a mass GPSA info to ALL Grads.

A discussion of putting together a committee budget was had where CaSandra agreed to look into the costs of a Table banner, Mario would look into costs of food for committee meetings and into printing and posting costs for committee work and Lina would look into the idea of the reusable grocery bag giveaway.

It was agreed that Lina would be the contact with the Cornell Daily Sun, CaSandra would be the contact with the Chronicle, and Mario would be the contact with the Ithaca Times.

The next meeting was scheduled for the 30th of October at 3:30 pm at Olin Caf�.

If we get some room in the Big Red Barn, we can put up hard copies of GPSA events & GPSA info. We could also look into having the GPSA poster we had at the orientations always posted there so we are always advertising.

Have some system where CoR members have more personal conversations with their associated assembly members. In case news comes in, physical science assembly reps can communicate more with CoR physical science reps, etc. Mario will look into this issue.

We need to look at how events are put on the Cornell home page so that we can possibly get grad events there. Maplewood, Hasbrook are good places to outreach even though most grad students are off campus.
