From the Cornell Assemblies

GPSA: January 21, 2013 Letter to President Skorton Re: R. 12

Dear President Skorton,

I am pleased to present to you GPSA Resolution 12, passed at the January 21st meeting, which amends our charter to include 1 field representative from Cornell NYC Tech and 1 field representative from the Agricultural Experiment Station at Geneva. This resolution, passed unanimously, was not without concerns, however. Namely, the logistics of including two participants from afar. I am working with various individuals in Ted Dodds’ office to find a technology solution and hope to have that figured out in time for our February 4th meeting.

Additionally, I am making a trip down to NYC to visit the campus at the end of January, at Dan Huttenlocher’s invitation, to speak to the new students and try to get them involved in the process. I am very excited to build upon the vision of Cornell to truly have a singular university, no matter if you are a graduate student at Ithaca, Geneva, or Tech campuses.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this resolution.

All the best,

Mitch
