GPSA: Resolution 8: A Resolution to Create the Space Utilization Study Ad Hoc Committee

WHEREAS, the Cornell Office of Space Planning, headed by Mary-Lynn Cummings, has been granted the authority to develop and implement the Ithaca Campus Space Utilization Study; and

WHEREAS, the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly has been approached by the team of Cornell administration working on the Study to offer input and assistance in reaching the graduate and professional student community; and

WHEREAS, Director Cummings has presented about the Study to the GPSA on September 24th; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the GPSA create the Space Utilization Ad Hoc Committee to assist the Space Use Advisory Committee when the Study interacts with graduate and professional students.

RESOLVED, That the Space Utilization Ad Hoc Committee shall consist of the following graduate and professional student membership, where one person may serve two representations, in order to best facilitate a diversity of space uses among the diverse graduate and professional student community:

RESOLVED, That the Space Utilization Ad Hoc Committee serve primarily as an advisory committee and serve secondarily to assist the administration in communication with graduate and professional student community.

RESOLVED, That this resolution be sent to Mary-Lynn Cummings, Director of Space Planning; Marty Rauker, Director of Campus Life Enterprise Services; Leslie Meyerhoff, Associate Director of Campus Life Academic Initiatives; Susan Murphy, Vice President of Student and Academic Services; Kent Hubbell, Dean of Students; and Peggy Beach, Director of Assemblies.
