From the Cornell Assemblies
WHEREAS, the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA) passed R.1 that created the Graduate Community Initiative (GCI) Ad Hoc Committee; and
WHEREAS, engaging graduate and professional students in a dialogue about campus issues should be an integral part of updating the GCI; and
WHEREAS, the town hall format has served as a good model for the Student Advocacy Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Ad Hoc Committee plans to engage graduate and professional students through town hall type sessions, each focusing on a particular topic area of the GCI update; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the GPSA allocate $1,250 from the cash rollover to facilitate:
a) 5 Town Halls - $200 per event for food (5 x $200 = $1000)
b) Ad Hoc Committee meetings every other week - $250 for food/drinks
RESOLVED, that this resolution be sent to Peggy Beach, Director of the Office of Assemblies; and Kent Hubbell, Dean of Students.
