Whereas, after careful consideration, we believe Slope Day plays an important role in student life of graduate and professional students on campus.

Whereas, The GPSA values Slope Day and the work of Slope Day Programming Board (SDPB).

Whereas, the GPSA plans on working with the SDPB and the Student Assembly to strengthen the working partnership in the future.

Be it therefore resolved, that the GPSA will make every effort to recruit a GPSA liaison to the Slope Day Programming Board Executive Board that will promote the graduate and professional student body’s point of view regarding Slope Day. Additionally, this liaison will work with the SDPB to strengthen graduate and professional attendance;

Be it further resolved, that a joint GPSA-SDPB working group be created that will evaluate and identify ways in which graduate and professional student attendance at Slope Day could be increased. The working group will meet beginning in Fall 2012, will be chaired by a member of SDPB designated by themselves, and will consist of members from the GPSA, SDPB and the SA;

Be it further resolved, that the sponsors of this resolution highly recommend that the GPSA Appropriations Committee raise SDPB’s allocation in Fall 2013;

Be it finally resolved, The Student Assembly President and Vice President for Finance will meet with GPSA members regarding the SA and the GPSA’s collaborative efforts with Slope Day in order to ensure future by-line funding allocations that equally represent the entire student population.
