II. Open Forum

G. Curtis from wants some advice about her field and how to be represented.

III. Assembly Update — B. Holmes

B. Holmes said that 3 candidates from the student trustee visited and answered questions. He said at the meeting they talked about changing policies for diversity fellowships.

B. Holmes needs someone to help work with the liason between GPSA and the Cornell Medical School. He also needs some help for the grad school leadership network.

IV. GPSA Presentation to the Cornell Trustees — B. Holmes

B. Holmes said that he felt like the GPSA was well received.

V. Student Trustee Election Results — B. Holmes

Doug Mitarotonda is the newly elected student trustee.

VI. Graduate and Professional Student Ball — M. Leinfelder and J. Vertesi

J. Vertesi said she needs to get the word out more about the ball and get more tickets sold.

VII. 2005 Pay and Benefits Survey — H. Etienne

They need more people to respond to the survey and encourage people in their field to fill it in.

VIII. Child Birth/Care Policy — A. J. Felkey and H. Etienne

AJ said that they need people’s feed back.

AJ also had an update on the uniform tuition plan, the university decided not to do it this year. However there will be a field uniform plan which will possibly be passed next year.

IX. GPSA Election Reminders — H. Etienne and B. Holmes

H. Etienne said that 4/26 is the assembly elections. At the conclusion of the next meeting there will be a caucus. If there is not enough people for each school, empty seats will be at large.

X. GPSA Charter Amendment Resolutions — B. Holmes, T. McConnochie, and H. Etienne

The charter amendment resolutions were went over and explained to the council.
