My name is Rishika Uttamchandani and I am running for the position of your School of Hotel Administration Representative for the Student Assembly. I am a junior who has taken an active role at the School of Hotel Administration while simultaneously working to advance my career through work experience and volunteer involvement. I envision the School of Hotel Administration as a mechanism for advancing and safeguarding student interests, engaging alumni and hospitality industry leaders to increase student access to career advancement, and raising the profile of Cornell University in both our local community and the international community. If elected I will work tirelessly towards facilitating these initiatives. I am approachable, friendly, a good listener and communicator, and value pragmatic problem solving. Once elected, I intend to hold several open discussions to hear the changes you want and work with the Student Assembly to make them happen. Together we will form the future of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, a future that I believe we can make bright.
