Minutes
Board Room, Day Hall
April 29, 2004
12:15p.m. — 1:30p.m.

I) CALL TO ORDER
D. Goss called the meeting to order at 12:15 pm. She thanked everyone for coming and noted that today’s meeting will be a closed session after open forum.
II) OPEN FORUM
A. Mentor Meeting
J. DeMarco said that they Mentor Committee had a meeting with Joanne Shepherd to talk about what the EA will do for mentoring new members. He said that it went well and they are moving forward.
B. University Benefits Committee
J. DeMarco said that the committee met with Michael Esposito and Paul Bursic. He handed out a proposal to HR about retirement for endowed staff and asked that the EA take a look at it and let him know if they would like him to go forward with this. The members agreed that J. DeMarco should go forward with it.
C. Education Committee
S. McConnell reminded everyone that they staff graduate reception was on May 21 and 7 volunteers are needed to help out at the reception.
The Education Committee is investigating an educational grant fund/scholarship.
D. EA Report to the Trustees
M. Esposito said that during the graduation weekend D. Goss will be giving a report to the trustees and everyone is encouraged to come and show support. Tickets will be available in Day Hall.
H. Mandeville said that if anyone is interested to let her know and she can get tickets.
E. President’s Reception
H. Mandeville said that there will be a President’s reception on May 10 from 5:00–6:00 in the Ramin Parlor, Sage Hall. It is important to RSVP.
F. Slope Day
D. Stein reminded everyone that Slope Day will be on May 7. They are still in need of volunteers.
III) CLOSED SESSION
The EA went into a closed session.
IV) ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 1:30 pm.
